Laser Hair Removal From R300
The ND Yag laser is used to target the germ cell above the hair follicle. The hair must be present, thus no waxing or tweezing can be done before the treatment. Unwanted hair must be shaved or trimmed. Only A fraction of hairs are in the growing phase (anagen cycle) at any given time.
Only anagen hairs can be effectively removed with laser because the resting phase (telogen) hairs do not have mature pigment at their follicle bulb which is the target for the light. One treatment will sometimes only get 20% - 30% of the hairs thus multiple treatments are required. This laser is suitable for all skin photo-types (colours).

Laser Vein Removal From R800
Both men and women are bothered by the appearance of body and facial spider veins. In the past electro cautery has been used to treat these veins but this modality often resulted in intolerable pain and sometimes scarring. Since the advent of lasers, the Nd:YAG has been used for the treatment of unwanted small and large veins up to 4 mm in thickness and a few treatments may be require to achieve an acceptable level of improvement.
Spider veins, also known medically as telangiectasia or venulectasias, are tiny red, blue or purple thread-like veins near the surface of the skin that often take on the appearance of a spider's web. These perpetually dilated and visible veins, caused by increased pressure to the veins, can develop on any part of the body, including the face, but most often appear on the thighs, calves, ankles or buttocks.
The most common laser used to treat spider veins is the Nd: YAG laser system. The Nd: YAG laser pierces the skin and penetrates the superficial blood vessel. The heat generated from the laser coagulates the blood inside the vessel, causing it to collapse and seal. Over the next few weeks, the vessel will disappear and all the blood will be removed by the body's scavenging cells. The newer laser treatments allow the delivery of a precise dosage of energy to each blood vessel without injuring any nearby structures.
